Responsibilities: Marcus is responsible for the day-to-day operations of McPhee Electric and McPhee’s divisions that include Utility, Commercial, Wireless, Industrial and Service. He also manages more than a dozen local unions and a team of approximately 300 people. Marcus plays a pivotal role in McPhee’s continual success and customer satisfaction.
Performance: Marcus is instrumental in negotiating hard bid and design/build projects and has years of proven management experience in commercial buildings and casinos. He led the company as Trade Manager for the Seneca Niagra & Salamanca Casino in upstate NY, as well as the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT. He was also involved in negotiating and managing: the Devon Power Plant in Milford, CT; Middletown Power Plant in Middletown, CT; and the Plainfield Biomass Wood Chip Facility in Plainfield, CT. Marcus also has many years experience with contract negotiations for utility clients throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts, including Eversource, Avangrid, and National Grid for Transmission Substations.
Education: Marcus earned his BS in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and is a licensed Electrician. Prior to re-joining his father's company, Marcus worked as a manager of Agency Rent-a-Car in Hooksett, NH as well as spent time in sales at Fourslide Spring Products in Bristol, CT giving him an inside look into the manufacturing world.
Involvement: Marcus is involved with several charitable committees local in his hometown of Bristol, CT and volunteers on several industry advisory boards. In addition, Marcus sits on the NECA/IBEW negotiating board and the JATC for the State of Connecticut and acts as the liaison for the company’s manpower with the affiliated IBEW Business Managers throughout New England.
